application tips
applying mineral foundations
Tap a small amount of powder through the sifter of the jar and remove the lid. Gently swirl a dense face powder brush (Jumbo Buffer, Jumbo Flat Top or Kabuki Buffer) into the mineral powder making sure that the powder is evenly distributed amongst the bristles.

Tap the brush handle on a hard surface (countertop) so that the powder settles into the brush. Only a small amount of product is required as mineral cosmetics are formulated from pure pigments and provide much more coverage than usual cosmetics.

To conceal problems areas a smaller brush can be dipped into the loose powder and applied strategically to target areas - blend well.
Buff'd Mineral Foundations work well with moisturized skin so continue to use moisturizers and sunscreen as you would normally. The best coverage is obtained when foundations are applied in light even layers so apply firmly in small amounts as opposed to single heavy coverage.
applying mineral setting powders, finishing powders and color correctors
Mineral setting powders, finishing powders and color correctors are formulated using feather-light minerals that appear almost transparent when applied.

Color correctors help conceal discoloration and brighten tired, irritated and sallow skin. Tap a small amount of powder through the sifter of the jar and remove the lid. Swirl a soft brush (Jumbo Flat Top, Jumbo Buffer, Kabuki Buffer, Large Pointed Face or Small Pointed Face) into the mineral powder and tap off excess. Apply a light dusting over the entire face or spot apply to target areas (such as dark under-eye circles) before applying your foundation.
Setting Powders have unbelievable matting and oil absorption powers to help your skin stay fresh throughout the day. Tap a small amount of powder through the sifter of the jar and remove the lid.

Finishing Powders are specifically formulated for those clients with normal to dry skin providing slight oil absorption. Tap a small amount of powder through the sifter of the jar and remove the lid.

applying mineral blushes

Tap a small amount of powder through the sifter of the jar and remove lid. Using a soft blush brush (Jumbo Flat Top, Large Pointed Face or Small Pointed Face) swirl the powder through the sifter holes and onto the brush. Apply to cheeks and blend in well.
applying mineral bronzers

As with Mineral Blushes, using a soft brush (Jumbo Flat Top, Large Pointed Face or Small Pointed Face) swirl in a small amount of powder. Lightly dust the bronzer onto the face and neck. Choose a darker bronzer and dust on the cheeks like a blush for a radiant glow.
applying illuminating dusts

Using a soft brush (Jumbo Flat Top, Large Pointed Face or Small Pointed Face) swirl in a small amount powder and tap off excess.
Illuminating Dust may be lightly brushed just on the cheeks over your blush or they may be used as blush themselves. To add a soft-focus shimmer to skin, a light dusting may be applied on the entire face over your foundation.
applying eye shadows, eye liners and pure pigments

Tap a small amount of powder from the jar into the lid. Using a soft eye shadow brush (Large All Over, Angled Sculptor) swirl in a small amount powder and tap off excess.
To achieve a smoky eye look, lighter highlighting shades may be applied over
the entire eyelid from the eyelash line to the eyebrow bone. Mid-toned shades may be swirled in the outer corner of the eye in the crease area. With a blending brush (Pointed Sculptor) blend well toward the middle of the eye softening the mid-toned shade into the lighter base color.

To line to eye, Buff'd Mineral Eye Liners may be applied dry (using the Line and Smudge, Perfect Line, Smudger or Multi-Task brushes) for a rich smoky effect or wet for extraordinary shimmering color.
